Liquid cationic etherifying agent Shuguang brand is a kind of widely used fine chemical products, Its chemical name is N- ( 3-chloro-2 hydroxypropyl)- three methylammonium chloride(abbreviated asCTA), Its formula is C6H15NOCL2, molecular weight of is188.1,and the structural formula is as follows:

The product is a kind of 69% water solution at normal temperature. At basic conditions, it is immediately transformed into epoxy structure,and further reacts with such base materials as amylum and Guar gum to become cationic substances. Its specific physical indexes are as the following:

(1)Exterior: colorless transparent liquid;

(2)Active substance content :≧69%;

(3)1,3 -dichloro propanol: ≦ 10PPM;

(4)Epoxy chloropropane: ≦ 5PPM;

(5)PH value: 4-6;

(6)Solubleness: Easy to solve in water and 2- propanol.

It is mainly used as liquid cationic etherifying agent in large amounts to modify cellulose, cellulose derivatives and amylum. When reactde with amylum ,cationic amylum can be produced ,which can be used as internal gel painting adhesive, paper strengthening agent as well as the aid for packing and fine fiber retention aid.

(2)Textile industry

Shuguang brand liquid cationic etherifying agent can react with cotton fiber to improve the adhesion of the days. When reacted with amylum ,cationic amylum can be produced.when can be used as twist yarn sizing agent.

(3)Water treatment industry
